Sharon A. Sweeney

Sharon’s career in the employee benefits arena started over 35 years ago. The first half of her career started on the insurance “carrier” side of employee benefits.

Sharon started her career with Prudential Insurance Company where she worked for 5 ½ years. While there, she worked for 4 individual producers. Her responsibilities supporting them included servicing and maintaining clients of all sizes.

She then moved onto her next major carrier with MassMutual for 12 ½ years. She was a direct report to the Regional Vice President of large group sales for the Northeast Region. Sharon serviced groups ranging from 50-5,900 employees with various funding arrangements.

She then moved over to the “Agency” or “Broker” side in the insurance industry to Haylor, Freyer & Coon for 7 ½ years as Employee Benefits Specialist. Responsibilities included daily service and sales issues for employer clients from small accounts to national accounts. She was responsible for the sales and service of several Chambers of Commerce accounts as well as a book of Association business.

Sharon worked at First Niagara Benefits Consulting for 8 ½ years in the role of Client Account Manager. Responsibilities included the day to day service and sales of a large book of employer business.

Sharon is a New York State Licensed Life, Accident and Health Agent. She is also certified on the New York State of Health Shop and Individual Exchange.

She resides in East Syracuse with her husband, Denny. Her hobbies include running and watching their four thoroughbred race horses.

Michelle Alletzhauser

Michelle's career with health insurance began in 1986 with Blue Cross Blue Shield. She also taught Business Education at Bryant and Stratton College.

Michelle was the director of Operations at Hanley and Associates for 19 years. There she managed two agencies focused exclusively on providing employee benefit programs for small, mid-sized and large businesses as well as non-profit organizations.

She worked for the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce for nine years as Client Relations Manager in the Insurance division. She was also assigned the role of Plan Administrator to three out of area Chamber plans.

Michelle worked for MassMutual for nine years as an Account Executive. She serviced, marketed and renewed group health insurance to clients ranging from 50-5900 employees with various funding options. 

She is involved in the Oswego County 4H program as a parent volunteer to children with interests in horses. She is a member of Harmony Riders Association.

Michelle is involved in the Fort Brewerton Oneida Lake Chamber of Commerce promoting business networking and growth in five different counties.

She is a board member with Arise promoting independence and access for all.

Michelle holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Columbia College. She is a New York State Licensed Life, Accident and Health Agent. She is certified with the centers of Medicare Services to sell Medicare products. She resides in Cicero, New York with her Husband Mark, two sons, Luke and Kane and daughter Paige.
